Jeffrey Chin, MSW is the Executive Director of Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, Inc. (SYFS). He has worked in the social services / mental health field for over 15 years. Jeff received his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Wheaton College, where he majored in Psychology. He went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College, with a clinical concentration in child and family work.
Jeff’s work experience includes various clinical and administrative roles in children’s hospitals (including nationally known Bradley Hospital in East Providence, RI), special education schools, community-based mental health clinics, residential programs, and day treatment programs.
In addition to his experience working directly with at-risk youth, Jeff has had experience that includes working with families in crisis, families with children experiencing emotional / behavioral difficulties, divorce / blended family issues, and development of leadership skills within youth.
An elected member of Shrewsbury Town Meeting, Jeff, his wife, and three children have all enjoyed living in Shrewsbury for several years.
